Niagara College has developed the Niagara Interprofessional Health Education Institute (NIHEI), a virtual entity within the Niagara Region, where team based interdisciplinary training and education is focused on fostering a patient centered interdisciplinary approach in the provision of quality, evidence based care. The project will build its interdisciplinary teaching in both clinical and classroom settings.

The Institute is a virtual entity providing the following services and programming within the Niagara region:

Hosting annual Interprofessional Health Education Symposia (more)
Delivering several IPE Courses offered to post-secondary and continuing education students at Niagara College (more)
Sharing project experiences at various conferences and events including IPE Ontario in 2009 and 2010
